~ FUMCV Fellowship & Ministries ~
Children 4 years old through 12th grade:
Sunday School runs concurrent with worship service each Sunday. Throughout the school year in grade level classes, kids learn biblical lessons about love, trust, faith and joy, while discovering how to connect with God in a real, day-to-day way. They read Bible stories, play games and make art projects.
These classes are energetic and interactive, with a mix of singing, illustrated lessons, skits, prizes, and prayer times designed to entertain, engage and enlighten. We desire to reach kids in a way that makes a lifelong impact for Christ.
Our children’s ministry is staffed by dedicated and Safe Sanctuary screened ministry servants.
Ages 0 through 3 years:
Nursery care is available with a child-friendly bathroom, changing facilities. We offer safe play and rest opportunities. Infants and toddlers are a beloved part of our congregation. The sound of small voices is music to our ears! In addition, there are rocking chairs at the rear of the sanctuary for soothing infants. The nursery is staffed by experienced, screened caregivers.
FUMCV conducts a 13 week confirmation program. It is designed for youth in 8th grade or older. Each youth meets with his/her self-selected mentor throughout the program to discuss many topics related to adopting the Christian faith and lifestyle. Contact the office for the actual start dates of the next program and for information on how to enroll.

The Voorheesville Farmer's Market began in the spring of 2008. Our mission was to reach out to our community and form lasting relationships, and also encourage the community to buy local produce and goods from small businesses. Since 2008, our market has grown to roughly 18 vendors and become a popular gathering place for the residents of Voorheesville to gather.
Our Crafty Christians lend their talents to produce hand-crafted items to be distributed as loving gifts or to raise funds for various charities and ministries.
The Caring Team works to maintain our connection to members who cannot attend regularly or need special assistance. Team members deliver meals, provide transportation for doctors appointments or to church, visit folks in nursing homes, and many other acts of Christian kindness.
We have a long history of music enhancing our worship services — focusing us, uplifting us, and showing us the face of God.
The Chancel Choir sings at the 10:00 am Sunday worship services from September thru June, and for occasional special seasonal worship services. The choir typically practices Thursday nights from 7:00-8:15PM in the sanctuary. All are welcome!
We also host an annual Christmas Community Concert.
Prayers & Squares Ministry
Since we started our Prayers & Squares Ministry in April 2007, we have been very busy. We have given away about 60 quilts to our family and friends in need of prayers and comfort. Plus, we have given about 10 Baptism quilt squares to those who welcomed new babies into their families.
