Meet the pastor.
Quincie Yamin serves as the pastor of First United Methodist Church of Voorheesville. She is a provisional elder in the United Methodist Church and a graduate of Duke Divinity School. Quincie brings a passion for storytelling, inclusive ministry, and helping people connect faith to everyday life. Her sermons often take a conversational tone, grounded in Scripture and enriched with literature, real-life stories, and theological reflection.
Originally from Natchitoches, Louisiana, Quincie now lives in Voorheesville, NY with her husband, Mat, who is also a United Methodist pastor, and their young daughter, Charlotte. When she’s not in the pulpit, you’ll likely find her running after her toddler or sewing during nap time.
She believes the church is called to love boldly, serve joyfully, and share God’s grace with all people—and she’s excited to be on that journey with this community. Quincie loves connecting with people and would be happy to grab coffee or go on a walk with anyone interested in learning more about the church or simply getting to know one another better.
